Marketplace Standards

These Marketplace Standards ("Standards") govern your conduct and interactions on the Coral Auctions platform ("the Platform"). They are designed to ensure a safe, respectful, and constructive environment for all users. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to abide by these Standards.

1. Core Principles

1.1. Respect and Courtesy. You must treat all members of the marketplace—including buyers, sellers, and Platform staff—with respect. Harassment, hate speech, threats, personal attacks, and discrimination are strictly prohibited.

1.2. Honesty and Integrity. You agree to conduct yourself honestly in all communications and transactions. Defamation, making unsubstantiated accusations, and public shaming are not permitted.

1.3. Privacy. You may not share another person's private information without their explicit consent. This includes, but is not limited to, real names, addresses, phone numbers, and the content of private messages.

2. Prohibited Content and Conduct

2.1. Inappropriate Content. You may not post content that is profane, obscene, sexually explicit, graphic, or otherwise inappropriate for a general audience.

2.2. Spam and Unsolicited Communication. You may not engage in spam, which includes sending unsolicited advertisements, posting irrelevant links, or sending repetitive messages in any area of the Platform.

2.3. Fraud and Deception. You may not misrepresent your identity or create multiple accounts for fraudulent purposes, including the manipulation of bids, reviews, or other Platform features.

3. Platform Usage

3.1. Relevancy. All content and communications should be relevant to the marine aquarium hobby. Off-topic discussions or promotions are not permitted in marketplace areas.

3.2. Dispute Resolution. If you have a dispute with another user, you must first attempt to resolve it privately and in good faith. If a resolution cannot be reached, you may contact our support team for assistance.

3.3. Reporting Violations. You may report any behavior that violates our policies. This feature must be used in good faith and not to harass or target other users.

4. Environmental and Ethical Responsibility

4.1. Sustainable Practices. As a member of this marketplace, you are encouraged to support sustainable practices, including the trade of aquacultured livestock and the protection of natural reefs.

4.2. Legal Compliance. You may not use the Platform to buy or sell any species that is endangered, illegally harvested, or otherwise prohibited by law.

5. Enforcement

5.1. Discretion. We reserve the right to remove any content and to warn, suspend, or permanently terminate the account of any user who violates these Standards.

5.2. Severity. Repeated or severe violations, particularly those that involve harassment, fraud, or endanger other users or animals, may result in immediate and permanent removal from the Platform without prior notice.

6. Modification of these Standards

We reserve the right to modify these Standards at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes, and your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Standards.
